Get in the know about using skip bins for Carpet Tiles

Everything you ever want to know about Carpet Tiles and Skip Bins but were Afraid to ask!

I recently was approached about using skips bins to dispose of carpet tiles. Here is what you need to know to make sure your job works out the way you want it to. The first thing to be aware of is that in many places carpet tiles will be treated as carpet which can be the first challenge.  In NSW we are starting to see a number of disposal facilities claiming that sending carpet to land-fill is a bigger problem than sending any other waster to the tip. We are yet to understand why this might be the case or what the perceived problem with the carpet is, but there seems to be a problem for some landfill sites owned by a small group of land-fill owners in and arounf the Sydney Metro area. We are hoping that this is issue isn't contagious and that it doesn't spread anywhere else because it is a real pain.

How do you calculate what volume of skip bin (or bin) is needed for Carpet Tiles?
